FAQs

How would you describe your style?
I shoot mainly in a documentary style, this means I capture things as they happen throughout the day and try to be as unobtrusive as possible. Except for the couple shots and a few formal groups I will capture what's happening when it happens.
Should we have an engagement shoot?
I love an engagement shoot! That's why it's included at no extra charge in my full day rate. It's the perfect opportunity to get to know each other a bit better, to make sure you're comfortable in front of the camera (ready for your wedding photography) and of course to get some great pictures of the two of you (you could also bring the family along, or the dog or both). Some people choose to use these pictures for the invitations, or a signing book. I can suggest a location or you could choose somewhere a little special for the two of you.
How did you get into photography?
My first memories of photography were of a family boating  trip to the Norfolk Broads. I had my own camera with 24 exposures for a 2 week holiday and had to plan out what to photograph. My mum, having an addiction for technology, bought a few early digital cameras, including one that took actual floppy disks; and my dad, who was a photographer's assistant in the 60s, always pitched in with some advice. So growing up I had plenty of opportunity to explore photography. I loved it and went on to study photography at uni before starting my own business.

How many photos do we get?
Whilst there is no fixed number, a full days photography is usually between 400 and 600. This will be effected by a number of factors including venue, number of guests, whether there is a second photographer, weather etc.
What equipment do you use?
I use full frame Canon cameras (dslr and mirrorless) and a mix of prime and zoom lenses.
How do we go about booking you?
Just drop me an email or call using the form on this website and I'll get in touch to book in a meeting so we can discuss what you want from your photography.
To book any date a £250 deposit is paid with the balance paid when you have seen your photos after the wedding.
Do you have insurance?
Yes, I have professional indemnity insurance and public liability insurance.
Where do you cover?
I'm based in Derbyshire but do wedding photography anywhere in the UK. Previously I've worked from the South Coast all the way up to Aberdeen, but even (especially) if you're planning a highlands wedding me and my camera would love to be there too.

Use the form below to get in touch and we can meet, in a lounge, in a pub or on zoom, whatever works for you. We can chat about what you have planned and see if we'd be a good fit for your wedding photography.
